What Is Nutritional Coaching?

Simply put - It is me guiding you to a healthier version of yourself.

You know you need to eat “real food”. BUT what should you eat, how should you prepare the food and how much of it should you consume? There are a lot of questions and without the guidance of a nutrition coach you may be too overwhelmed or scared to start on your own.

All I need from you is the motivation to change and a willingness to try new things. In return, I promise to help you transform your eating habits, create a repertoire of healthy food choices that support your new healthy lifestyle AND a system to maintain these new habits.

The System

Step 1:    Initial Consultation: FREE

You will fill out the initial brief questionnaire and we will schedule a quick 15 min phone call to chat about your goals and decide if working together would be a good fit.

Step 2:    Getting started:

I will have you fill out a more extensive goal and health history profile as well as a food log prior to our first meeting. I will use the information from these forms to help create your personalized plan taking into account your current eating habits, lifestyle and goals.

Step 3: Picking a program:

At this point we discuss what duration of program would work best for you given your personal goals and current lifestyle . Plans range from a single “getting launched” meeting to a full year of bi–monthly meetings. (Note: best results are achieved with programs lasting between 6-12 months).

Step 4: The meetings and material:

During our first meeting I will assign you 1-3 action steps you will use to begin your transformation. We will focus on small, incremental changes that will add up to big shifts down the path. Trying to do too much at once will overwhelm your willpower and set you up for failure. Success comes from steady change at a manageable pace. Trust me!

As we progress through your plan and meet every other week, we will discuss what is working, troubleshoot any tough spots and I will assign new action steps for you to carry out.

In addition, I will give you handouts, recipes, shopping tips, meal ideas and all sorts of other helpful materials to help support your efforts on your own.

Step 5: Reaching your goal:

When you reach the goals you set out to achieve I will give you additional guidance and suggestions about how to maintain your new habits and keep yourself on track. And of course we will celebrate your achievement by eating giant chocolate cake…… just kidding!

About Lisa

When it comes to weight loss and body transformation I have done it all. Half Iron man races,  crazy 2 a day work outs, stroller bootcamp, yoga, pilates, spin, heavy weight lifting, HIIT,  elimination diets, paleo diets, physique competition diets, lose two sizes jeans challenge diets.  But do you know what works?  Eating whole foods-  protein and veggies and carbs, limiting liquid calories (in my case alcohol), and avoiding processed foods (this includes homemade paleo carrot muffins). It’s not rocket science so why, why, why is it so hard?

Usually it’s because most people don’t know how to cook or prepare the food that will make them healthy. Yes, it takes more time to cook dinner then run to McDonalds but it’s worth it. You are worth it and your family is worth it. But it takes time and practice to be able to create meals that everyone will eat and possibly even enjoy.

This is where I come to the rescue. I can help you learn new ways to think about food in all areas of your life. We can discuss shopping, label reading, organic vs regular, pantry re-organizing, prepping and preparing delicious dishes that satisfy and leave you feeling good about what you just ate or fed to your family. I’m not here to stuff kale down your throat or make you give up wine. I promise!
