Food is more than fuel. Food is a way we nourish our body but also our soul. It helps us connect with friends and family, it also serves as an anchor for special occasions, celebrations and traditions. Often we demonize food and worry about eating too much of the “bad” stuff and not enough of the “good” stuff. This week we want everyone to take a break from worrying about what is right and wrong to eat and just try to enjoy the meal in front of you. We have time now to eat slowly and be mindful of our satiety cues. So sit down, slow down and enjoy what you are eating. Don’t obsess about whether it is healthy enough or wholesome enough. Give yourself a break and experience your food without passing judgment on it or yourself. We have attached a few of our favorite family recipes. Some lean towards healthy, some are simply delicious, and others are indulgent but worth it. Your challenge this week is to try a new recipe and enjoy your food.
